Former PS minister for modernisation Alexandra Leit??o has added her voice to the general criticism of the government?€?s ?€?meddling?€? with savings certificates (to the advantage of the country?€?s banks). Says Expresso, she has ?€?questioned the political option of Finance Minister Fernando Medina in lowering the increase in new emissions of savings certificates, considering it penalised the already low savings of middle class families?€?. Since being removed from her post in government, Ms Leit??o has frequently criticised the cohesion and policies of the government.
